If the quantity & quality of light on the subject is poor then it doesn’t matter how good the composition, posing, lens technique or the location is because understanding & executing light is what separates a good photographer from the crowd.

Hi ! My name is Varun Jain, I am a Wedding Photographer & the owner of Varun Jain Photography operating from Bombay (Mumbai) with operations in Delhi, Gurgaon (Gurugram), Pune & Bangalore (Bengaluru). You must have heard quite a few stories recently about young entrepreneurs quitting their full time day job to pursue their passion, the same way, after working almost for 8 years in J.P. Morgan as a Team Leader, I realised it was time to give my love for photography worth a shot. With the support of my loving wife, Nishi & my mother, I called it quits with my company and took a leap of faith.

With no family background in photography, I decided to choose this art form purely for the love of capturing & reliving those moments years later. My first ever experience in photography was with a Nokia 3650 smartphone. My first DSLR was a Canon 600D and just like any other cliche’d photography startups, even I started my Facebook business page (named it ”That Amateur Photographer” ) to display my hobbyist work captured from my travel & family events. I then learnt the basics of photography from Hues Photography Solutions in Andheri West and then assisted Harika Chanana, a very talented owner of Hues Photography Solutions. With more than four years of experience, I have gained considerable amount of clients who have utmost confidence in me & are happy with my work. When I am not shooting or editing, I am making sure to polish my skills by learning & practicing photography as it requires the same kind of dedication & focus as any other art forms. Worlds top Wedding & Portrait photographer Jerry Ghionis has been my single most source of inspiration to become a better photographer.
